SENO WOODLAND STORYWALK® VOLUNTEER WORKDAY

Date: Saturday, June 13th  10:00AM - 12:00PM
Location:
Seno Woodland Center
3606 Dyer Lake Rd. Burlington, WI 53105

Join us for a workday to assemble our Seno Woodland StoryWalk® story stations and do some trail clearing!

We need a small group of volunteers to tackle clearing sticks and branches from trails and trailsides, mounting backerboards to the story stations, attaching plexiglass to backerboard using bolts, washers, nuts, and trim back some invasives at the end of the trail.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier Vermont. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Seno K/RLT Conservancy and Burlington Public Library are excited to partner together to bring a this new feature, combining outdoor education and childhood literacy!

Because of the use of power tools we require adults as volunteers or volunteers of 14 and up if accompanied by a parent or chaperone.

This will be a small group to be sure there is enough work to go around, so we ask you sign up in advance!
